A random diary I wrote while playing Pathfinder in character a long time ago. Enjoy.

Day one on the island
We woke up on a weird island, attacked by weird scorpion fish.  After slaying them, I woke up the rest of the survivors on the beach and tended to them. The shady human and scrawny elf looking human went on ahead to scavenge the remains of the ship as I fed the other survivors. They came back with supplies to build shelter.  As I was building the shelter, they freed the prisoner much to my dislike but the prisoner did use some sort holy magic which helped us out.  After building the shelter, we set up some task to try to ensure our survival on Smugglers Shiv.  A map was recovered and pinned to the wall marking us on the northern part of the island.  This island is known as a shipwreck island used as a passage to avoid the naval authority. Many tales of the island warn of the dangerous of it, including curses and haunting.

During the night, I woke up from a nightmare, we were all puking on the boat as the owner of the boat kissed the captain, we then all suddenly had spoon and the water was filling the boat and we had to scoop it up with the spoons before those scorpion lobsters clawed at us.

Day two on the island
The few survivors that were favorable to our attitude decided to help me and the other able adventurer.  Gelik was to be our entertainer while Sasha was set to gather food for our group.  The prisoners magical healing aptitude landed him in the healer position.  The 2 other adventurers set to try to get the last 2 survivor to assist.  Ishirou was set on guard duty for the camp.  I suggested exploring our surroundings to get familiar with what we may have to deal with. Kwinrey and Jericho went along with me to investigate south to investigate the inland crescent.  The sun of noon was murderous and impeached our activities and stopped us after an hour of walk. We rested until 3pm when the heat died down before going on our way. Soon, we landed on a predators lair which I failed to figure out what it is. Flying creatures swooped down at us. I took a quick action and shot at one while my shady looking friend Jericho tried to hide.  Kwinrey did his magical hoo-hah.  The one I hit was quite angry at me and bite me quite fiercely.  I felt my strength sap away from me. I dropped my bow and took my axe to the back of this beast, slaying it before turning my attention to the other, assuming my comrades would have handled it by now.  The human weakly attacked one while the caster summoned an eagle which clawed at the prey.  The prey turned its attention to the eagle, biting it out into thin air.  The weakness of my allies impress me as I was needed to slay the other one as well. The beasts slain were dimorphodon, quite a mean bite to them. The caster handed me a potion which recovered my wounds but I still felt my strength sapped from me. The caster summoned a giant shadowy figure taller than me.  We continued trekking to our destination shortly after. We hit a cliff wall. The shift guy brought a grappling hook and I managed to hook it right.  Taking lead, I made it 30 feet up before falling and winding myself out.  Neither of my allies seemed concerned of my well being.  The shadowy figure came down with 2 dimorphodon eggs.  Stormy clouds cover the sky, we barely make it in the jungle before the downpour started. We rushed to camp as the darkness was coming. When we got back to camp, Sasha wanted one of the eggs, I agreed to share with her and she agreed to share something interesting.  Gask is turning out to be quite useful as he healed my wounds quickly.  I layed in bed to recover my strength.

Day three on the island.
Today, we spent the day with Sasha, she trained us in the art of combat and how to react quickly to quite a few different situations.  All in all, an uneventful day.

I guess I have a poor record of attendance...

Someone at work pointed out to me that my blog was quite dead and I realized I hadn't posted since February.

I doubt this blog generates much traffic but I'd really love if I did a better job at keeping it updated.

Life has been keeping me busy though, running D&D games at the local game store on Monday and Wednesday evenings, WarHammer 40K Escalation League on Tuesday evening, work on the other 4 days.  I even squeeze in time for Friday Night Magic too.

Helping my friend with keeping up on www.gameitall.com has been consuming more of my time, escalating from a side hobby to a more steady occupation over the past month.  Idea Factory provided us with a review copy of Megatagmension Blanc + Neptune VS Zombies for Vita and I was tasked with reviewing it.

Either way, I know I say this often, but I'll try to stick to one post a week on this blog in the future, just keeping it updated on what's going on with my life, maybe post some of my painting for WH40K, D&D/Pathfinders stories or even decks that I'm running at Friday Night Magic.

Four in February

So, as per usual, I set myself to fail.
I selected Disgaea 5 (PS4), Dragon's Crown (PS Vita), Bomberman 64 (N64) and Tales of Zestiria (PS4) for my 4 games to beat in February. Disgaea 5 was the first one to be done, it's one of my favorite series and generally easy.  The week after, I finished Bomberman 64 (see it here, warning strong language) in one sitting, raging much at the game as 2 of the bosses were ridiculous to beat.  Dragon's Crown was a slow grind but was ultimately completed, playing it on the go helped a lot with this.
Then, there was Tales of Zestiria.  I played for a solid 20 hours of the game and though I was doing decent in the game until I started an area I was under leveled for by about 7 levels.  That's when I looked at an FAQ to see how far along I was in the game.  I was just a bit before the half way mark. Upon realizing that, I kind of gave up on beating it this month, considering today is the last day.  I may try to complete Axiom Verge, a fun metroid like game, since it looks decently short and we're the 29th.
