A random diary I wrote while playing Pathfinder in character a long time ago. Enjoy.

Day one on the island
We woke up on a weird island, attacked by weird scorpion fish.  After slaying them, I woke up the rest of the survivors on the beach and tended to them. The shady human and scrawny elf looking human went on ahead to scavenge the remains of the ship as I fed the other survivors. They came back with supplies to build shelter.  As I was building the shelter, they freed the prisoner much to my dislike but the prisoner did use some sort holy magic which helped us out.  After building the shelter, we set up some task to try to ensure our survival on Smugglers Shiv.  A map was recovered and pinned to the wall marking us on the northern part of the island.  This island is known as a shipwreck island used as a passage to avoid the naval authority. Many tales of the island warn of the dangerous of it, including curses and haunting.

During the night, I woke up from a nightmare, we were all puking on the boat as the owner of the boat kissed the captain, we then all suddenly had spoon and the water was filling the boat and we had to scoop it up with the spoons before those scorpion lobsters clawed at us.

Day two on the island
The few survivors that were favorable to our attitude decided to help me and the other able adventurer.  Gelik was to be our entertainer while Sasha was set to gather food for our group.  The prisoners magical healing aptitude landed him in the healer position.  The 2 other adventurers set to try to get the last 2 survivor to assist.  Ishirou was set on guard duty for the camp.  I suggested exploring our surroundings to get familiar with what we may have to deal with. Kwinrey and Jericho went along with me to investigate south to investigate the inland crescent.  The sun of noon was murderous and impeached our activities and stopped us after an hour of walk. We rested until 3pm when the heat died down before going on our way. Soon, we landed on a predators lair which I failed to figure out what it is. Flying creatures swooped down at us. I took a quick action and shot at one while my shady looking friend Jericho tried to hide.  Kwinrey did his magical hoo-hah.  The one I hit was quite angry at me and bite me quite fiercely.  I felt my strength sap away from me. I dropped my bow and took my axe to the back of this beast, slaying it before turning my attention to the other, assuming my comrades would have handled it by now.  The human weakly attacked one while the caster summoned an eagle which clawed at the prey.  The prey turned its attention to the eagle, biting it out into thin air.  The weakness of my allies impress me as I was needed to slay the other one as well. The beasts slain were dimorphodon, quite a mean bite to them. The caster handed me a potion which recovered my wounds but I still felt my strength sapped from me. The caster summoned a giant shadowy figure taller than me.  We continued trekking to our destination shortly after. We hit a cliff wall. The shift guy brought a grappling hook and I managed to hook it right.  Taking lead, I made it 30 feet up before falling and winding myself out.  Neither of my allies seemed concerned of my well being.  The shadowy figure came down with 2 dimorphodon eggs.  Stormy clouds cover the sky, we barely make it in the jungle before the downpour started. We rushed to camp as the darkness was coming. When we got back to camp, Sasha wanted one of the eggs, I agreed to share with her and she agreed to share something interesting.  Gask is turning out to be quite useful as he healed my wounds quickly.  I layed in bed to recover my strength.

Day three on the island.
Today, we spent the day with Sasha, she trained us in the art of combat and how to react quickly to quite a few different situations.  All in all, an uneventful day.

I guess I have a poor record of attendance...

Someone at work pointed out to me that my blog was quite dead and I realized I hadn't posted since February.

I doubt this blog generates much traffic but I'd really love if I did a better job at keeping it updated.

Life has been keeping me busy though, running D&D games at the local game store on Monday and Wednesday evenings, WarHammer 40K Escalation League on Tuesday evening, work on the other 4 days.  I even squeeze in time for Friday Night Magic too.

Helping my friend with keeping up on www.gameitall.com has been consuming more of my time, escalating from a side hobby to a more steady occupation over the past month.  Idea Factory provided us with a review copy of Megatagmension Blanc + Neptune VS Zombies for Vita and I was tasked with reviewing it.

Either way, I know I say this often, but I'll try to stick to one post a week on this blog in the future, just keeping it updated on what's going on with my life, maybe post some of my painting for WH40K, D&D/Pathfinders stories or even decks that I'm running at Friday Night Magic.

Four in February

So, as per usual, I set myself to fail.
I selected Disgaea 5 (PS4), Dragon's Crown (PS Vita), Bomberman 64 (N64) and Tales of Zestiria (PS4) for my 4 games to beat in February. Disgaea 5 was the first one to be done, it's one of my favorite series and generally easy.  The week after, I finished Bomberman 64 (see it here, warning strong language) in one sitting, raging much at the game as 2 of the bosses were ridiculous to beat.  Dragon's Crown was a slow grind but was ultimately completed, playing it on the go helped a lot with this.
Then, there was Tales of Zestiria.  I played for a solid 20 hours of the game and though I was doing decent in the game until I started an area I was under leveled for by about 7 levels.  That's when I looked at an FAQ to see how far along I was in the game.  I was just a bit before the half way mark. Upon realizing that, I kind of gave up on beating it this month, considering today is the last day.  I may try to complete Axiom Verge, a fun metroid like game, since it looks decently short and we're the 29th.

Backloggery updated!

The past week was a busy week for me.  Did a blog post, updated my backloggery and... yeah, that's pretty much it, if I don't count work.  I picked up Omega Quintet on Tuesday and decided to play right away, which is odd for me considering I usually buy a game and leave it untouched for months before starting.  I did broadcast on my Twitch the whole time I was playing, had a few viewers.  It makes it more entertaining than just playing alone.  I should probably write a review for the game once I finish it on Game It All but I still haven't tried some of the features offered by the game yet so I doubt I'd be able to make an effective assessment of the game. Unfortunately, that's all I really have to say. I did DM another session of Kingmaker, finishing the first book of the adventure path and if time permits, I will write the travels of the adventurers as per my previous post.

First real try at being a Dungeon Master. Retelling of the party's adventure so far.

Greetings!

I realize I have not posted in ages on my blog, I'm sorry for that, been busy in real life.  Mostly with video games and Pathfinder. Talking about Pathfinder, the DM we had got a job and was unable to keep the campaign we were playing going due to scheduling conflict so I thought I'd give a try to be the DM using the Paizo campaign Kingmaker.

The group started well, the characters in the campaign so far are an Archon-blooded Aasimar Zen Archer Qinggong Monk, an Asura-blooded Thiefling Gunslinger and a Half-Elf Bloodrager.

The campaign starts by meeting up in Oleg's trading post, a remote location about 3 days ride from the closest town.  After the players learned that the post was going to be pillaged by local bandits, the assignment they were given by the kingdom to charter the greenbelt was quickly set aside to assist Oleg and his wife, Svetlana.  Preparations were made quickly in the evening, giving them hiding position and time to rest before the attack.  Let's just say those bandits did not last long, the leader going down during the surprise attack lead by the party.  A javelin from a bloodrager and a well aimed shot by the thiefling made short of him, the archer dispatching of one of the underlings.  The remaining two bandits went down before they could even react.

Now that the group set base camp at the Trading Post, the real adventure could begin.  The trio set to charter the Greenbelt and deal with the bandits.  The first noticeable thing they encountered was a patch of moon radishes south of the trade post.  Upon closer inspection, they found four kobolds in the field with baskets of freshly picked turnip.  The gunslinger bravely walked forward, trying to peacefully approach the new found beings but due to a language barrier, they couldn't understand each other and the kobolds attacked the intruders on their field.   Dispatching of the small creatures quickly, they took the filled baskets of radishes back to the camp to Svetlana.  Coming back to the camp, they met the guards that were sent by the kingdom to protect this trade post from the bandits, their small camp established to the south of the trade post.  Svetlana was glad to have the radishes and proceeded to make a meal for the crew and her husband.

The following day, the adventurers once again set to explore and encountered a giant centipede just crawling along on the plains, not even bothering to pay attention to the trio.  The Aasimar got the brilliant idea of attacking it from range and nearly paid with his life, falling unconscious after two bites from the mighty insect.  Lucky for the Aasimar, his team mates fell the insect and stabilized his bleeding wounds.  Resting to let their friend recover, the party got surprised by mangy wolf that was slain easily.  Having no serious injury but the Aasimar still down, they kept resting, disturbed only by a bandit which was taken care of before even noticing them.  Taking in consideration the wounds suffered by the archer, the party made way back to the camp's safety. Two days passed still before the Aasimar regained mobility, purchasing the only healing item left in store, chugging it and calling it good to go. As they left camp, the head guardsman came up to them and advised of a kobold camp to the south that have been an issue and to see if they could dispatch of them.

The trip south begun anew only for them to walk in a forest looming with death, bones of various animals and humans littering the area.  The party slowed down to inspect the suspicious forest only to be pounced by a spider which quickly fled back to the safety of the trap it had laid.  With the alchemical fire potion taken from the bandit, the bloodrager set fire to the trap and to the spider itself, exposing it for his ranged partners to make quick waste of it. Choosing the spider's nest as a resting area, taking in consideration that wild life did not approach this area normally seemed the wisest decision and they were able to take a full night's rest, the exploration proceeding along at a decent pace as they kept making for the south.  Exploration continued the next day, encountering 4 bandits during the charting of the region.  The bandits took some lucky bow shot at the party but ultimately met their demise by the trio. Injuring and taking time to rest, the party made camp for the night, taking watch one by one.  Near the end of the night, during the Aasimar's watch, a boar snuck in and attack the faithful guard and waking the two sleeping members.  The boar having picked his target poorly got taken care of almost instantly and was kept ready for the breakfast meal soon to come. Spotting a large tree at the horizon, the party headed south west in the morning, upon getting closer to the tree, the gunslinger recalled about a story mentioning the 100 feet tall dead tree and how it served as a lair for mytes now.  Choosing to avoid having to deal with hordes of fey creatures, they started travelling east, mapping their travels until they found a worn and damaged shack by a river, a broken rope bridge and a sign with a rusty bell that read “Nettles’ Crossing—5 coppers—ring bell for service.”.  After investigating the shack and finding nothing, the party was about to leave when the Half-elf curiously rang the bell.  Out of the water, an undead wielding a ranseur came out, claiming they were not the one he was looking for and demanding them to bring the body of the Stag Lord (leader of the bandit in the region).  The party took note of his demand and quickly left there after, making camp distances away from the river for the night.

Dark Souls and my backlog...

So recently, I undertook the brilliant idea to clear out my console backlog using Backloggery's fortune cookie feature... The first game it spit out at me was Dark Souls.... I was reluctant to start but I did anyway since I will eventually have to beat it to clear the backlog. All went well, defeated the guardian, the taurus demon, the twin gargoyles and the butterfly... I made it deep in the forest, when according to what I got told that I shouldn't have gone there to begin with, and got destroyed by Sif... over and over and over again... I did finally beat him and that's where I'm sitting at now, haven't played since.
That's me chilling by the cat that recruited me in the covenant.
I did get the Zelda 3DS XL and did finish A Link Between World but sadly, I haven't gotten around to add the digital games on my backlog quite yet... :/

I'm horrible

As per the title of this post says, I'm horrible, I always forget to update this blog since I'm quite lazy... I'm sorry about this absence, and I won't make promise about post frequency as I'll more than likely not keep it... but I'll try to remember!

As of lately, I've been playing Tales of Xillia and Project X Zone... pretty fun games... oh! And building an Armored Core model kit :) I haven't touched any WH40K in a while though...
